Becky is a lifelong Wisconsin resident, currently living in Madison with her husband, two teen sons and golden retriever. She graduated from Marquette University (Milwaukee) in 1992 and 1993 with a BS and MS respectively in Speech-Language Pathology, minoring in Spanish. She began seeking challenges right away, taking her first job working with underprivileged children at a Birth to Three clinic in Milwaukee. Upon her move to Madison, she began to gain experience with children with complex medical conditions who were homebound, quickly transitioning into the role of regional diagnostic and therapeutic team member at a leading outpatient clinic and hospital in Madison. She collaborated closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, physiatrists, gastroenterologists, pulmonologists, neonatologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, otolaryngologists, cardiologists, social workers, geneticists, and more on clinical specialty teams to provide answers and care for highly vulnerable children for over 20 years, including conducting and interpreting videofluoroscopic swallow studies. In addition to developing a specialty practice, she also maintained a general practice as the lead pediatric speech-language pathologist in the organization, meeting the needs of children with a broad variety of challenges across the pediatric age span, including receptive and expressive language, phonology, articulation, fluency, voice, and feeding/swallowing disorders.
Becky's mission is to extend her reach to an even broader population of children who need extra support to thrive. Her experience and expertise enable expedited, accurate diagnostic services and therapeutic interventions, as well as second-opinion and consultative services for both families and other professionals.
Her pragmatic approach carefully considers all contributing variables and works with children's strengths, resources, and windows of readiness to achieve strong, measurable outcomes.
